VIMS - the Virginia Institute of Marine Science, has changed dramatically. Back then, the building near where I painted this was a small wooden structure with a dirt driveway and parking lot. Now, it's a big concrete and metal structure with a cobbled parking lot. A $14 million renovation to the whole campus has made a huge difference.
 
The town has changed, I've changed, my life has changed dramatically. All of this came to my heart and mind as I painted, and shaped everything about this piece.
