Oil on black canvas, 5x7, $68. There are lilacs in several places in town, including our yard, and I believe they are all at the homes of people who moved here from colder places. Most of them are at the homes of former New Englanders, like me. Where I grew up in Connecticut, the lilacs bloomed just around my birthday, mid-May. Here, they bloom mid-April.
